The Summit International Awards (SIA) is the oldest and most prestigious organization that administers communications and marketing competitions and this year SIA's Emerging Media Award competition brought Silverpoint some holiday cheer - American International School of Niamey won the Innovator (Gold) level award and Concord Academy the Leader (Silver) level award.

Silverpoint is proud to announce that two of our clients, American International School of Niamey and The Berkeley Carroll School, have won Davey Awards for exceptional design quality. These school sites include vibrant images, unique fonts and treatments and allow their school's identity to shine through. Congratulations to both schools for helping us create two amazing school sites.

The Davey Awards are exclusively for the "Davids" of creativity, those who accomplish a lot with just a little. The name comes from the Biblical story of David vs. Goliath - David defeats Goliath with a big idea and a little rock - the sort of thing Silverpoint does on a regular basis. These awards honor top notch projects that don't take a budget similar to the New York Yankees to accomplish.

Congratulations goes to the Global Online Academy and to all the staff that were involved to make this project come together. You should be proud!

If you are a return visitor to Silverpoint's website, you have probably noticed that we did a little "touching up" here and there. Actually, we threw the old website out and started over. The new site has some very interesting features and functionality, and we learned a lot about ourselves and the next generation of website design in the process of working on our own site. The main thing we set out to accomplish was to make the information on the site easier to find and consume. Come to think of it, that goal drove everything that we did.

Silverpoint officially released a new module, MyAlerts! in 2011 and are happy to add it to its product offering.The module allows site visitors to subscribe to receive notification by email and/or SMS text message when events are added or changed to various parts of the site, such as homepage news, athletics events, academic class page assignments.

Silverpoint is pleased to announce that we are the recipient of two Communicator Awards in the category of School & University Websites. Our work with both The Marin School and The Walker School was selected from among over nine-thousand entries from the United States and internationally. Congratulations to all who were involved in these projects.

Silverpoint is proud to announce that it is the recipient of two Creative Summit Awards for our work with The Marin School and The Walker School in 2010. Silverpoint was selected from an entry field that included companies and individuals from over 50 countries and five continents based on strength of concept, quality of execution and ability to persuade.

Silverpoint is pleased to announce that we are the recipient of two design awards from the Higher Ed Marketing Report for our work with the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Rosemont College. Winners were selected from over 2,500 entries, whose programs and materials displayed exceptional quality, creativity and message effectiveness. Congratulations to both schools on the award-winning work!

Silverpoint is pleased to announce the launch of the Oaks Christian Online school. The school announced the launch of this effort last October 1st during their nationally televised football game against Westlake High School. Since that time, Silverpoint and the OCOnline team have been working together to develop the school's online presence.

We’ve been building so quickly that I realized we haven’t taken the time to provide an update on where we are with the Single Sign-On (SSO) development in our Integration Services department. Progress has been swift.

We’ve had terrific turnout so far for the strategy workshops we’re having across the country. I’m so appreciative of the schools who have graciously volunteered their facilities – Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City, the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Gilman School here in Baltimore, Chicago Lab, Convent and Stuart Hall in San Francisco, and the Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia.

Facebook Social plug-ins, directory web parts, custom user controls, file library enhancements, data management make their way into Silverpoint’s quiver of features over the summer.

Silverpoint is pleased to announce the launch of Germantown Academy, of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Germantown Academy is the oldest, non-sectarian, continuously run, independent day school in America, founded in 1759.

The 2010 Silverpoint User Conference was a smashing success, thanks in large part to our wonderful facilities at The Brentwood School. Graced with sunshine, fragrant gardens, a theater, technology labs and outdoor dining, clients and Silverpoint staff did what we do best: collaborate and make friends.
