Norwood, a K-8 in Bethesda Maryland, needed a dynamic and fresh redesign for their website, and Silverpoint delivered just that!

Norwood has been a long time client of Silverpoint, and it was time to clean house and create a fresh design. A lot of deadwood was cleared out and made way for a beautiful and fun new site.The site provides easy navigation and design treatments to give the end user a dynamic experience. The design is filled with kid friendly features and implementations including fonts, colors and treatments, that reflect the identity of the school.
The kid friendly theme extends throughout the entire site starting with the homepage reveal. The bumblebee reveals, an interactive menu of upcoming events and a set of quicklinks. The Buzz is the Norwood Mash-Up page which consolidates all social media including tweets, Facebook updates, videos and photos into one area. Similarly, the HawksNest is an online portal for students, parents and faculty/staff. Within this portal links are provided to external systems in addition to the Thursday Memo, Carpool Corner and the master calendar.
Many "buttons" and treatments including the social media links include handwritten rollovers and the arts landing page header is hand drawn.The enlarged homepage slideshow brings the school to life and shows key differentiators to prospective families. The buttons to scroll through the slideshow are unique treatments, like the heart and a compass, that reflect the differentiators on each image.
