Charlotte Country Day School
When you step onto campus, you understand why Charlotte Country Day feels like an Institution—with a capital I—of the city and neighborhood and for all those who interact with it. It’s a school with solid mission, a deep cultural backbone, a mature educational system and approach, and everything you’d want your child to experience from grades PK through to 12: first rate facilities and talented faculty.

It’s been a pleasure from day one working the folks at Charlotte Country Day. Silverpoint first rolled out a simple external website, dramatically improving the overall look and feel, while providing some simple tools to manage news, calendars and photo galleries. Alumni functions like class notes, event forms and profile updates allowed CCDS to retain its connection to graduates, while continuing to provide newsletters and other important information to the parent body. A branded Athletics area—a stronghold of CCDS culture—followed, received with much applause.
The “final” frontier, if there is such a thing on the web, was BucsNet—an intranet that had become a sprawling morass Silverpoint in turn thinned, reorganized, consolidated and helped bring order to. Silverpoint implemented a clever resource-request and facilities system to help the large school manage and allocate spaces and rooms on campus; homework and class pages for its faculty; personalized content; and a great monthly newsletter that has lots of great pictures and articles.
One little known fact is that the site has not really been redesigned for seven years; a series of visual improvements that were low cost but high value has helped the school realize its original investment many times over and prioritize improvements more easily.
