The Tatnall School website is truly an experience for the end user. There are a number of great special treatments that begin with a homepage slideshow, which can be minimized to conveniently reveal an aerial view of the campus. From here a user can explore a virtual tour, view a full screen image of the campus or reopen the slideshow. Speaking of the campus tour, users are able to use a zoom feature to magnify areas of the campus, and can click and drag to scroll over the campus with ease; selected areas showcase images and a description that populate the right-hand side.
A few of the other dynamic features of The Tatnall School site include a little "Box O' Tatnall" which delivers images and factoids about the School – a fun way to keep traditions and history fresh and relevant. In addition, the athletics area includes a drop-down banner which displays the school's athletic accomplishments featured in the gym.
On an administrative level, Tatnall displays content in a clean logical manner, allowing users to find what they need easily. Just one way this is achieved is through the powerful set of Directory web parts in the SchoolSuite CMS. The Directory List Web Part dynamically populates a list of constituents that can be filtered by grade level, department, and directory. The site uses this web part to display key points of contact at the school in a convenient manner, all updated in one place.
" Silverpoint fulfilled our primary requirement to have a professional collaborator join us in developing a dynamic website that distinguishes our school in a highly competitive market. Silverpoint’s team—and it truly is a team—spent a week on campus meeting with every constituency to better understand our culture, history, atmosphere and aspirations, resulting in a solution that we feel captures the unique qualities of our school." - Mike Morgan, Director of Communication
